Merchandise Assistant (seasonal)

Location: Savannah, Georgia
Term: Savannah Music Festival 2024
Dates: March 28–April 13, 2024

The Savannah Music festival is seeking a Merchandise Assistant to provide patrons with an exciting merchandise shopping experience while maintaining a secure and clean area.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Sell merchandise at various venues around the Savannah downtown area
Work with artist or their representative to ensure that all necessary merchandise paperwork is completed
Complete inventory of artist and SMF merchandise
Set up merchandise area prior to patron entry into venue space
Maintain a secure and organized merchandise area
Assist with venue cash reconciliation and post-concert merchandise close-out
Provide a cell phone number to Merchandise Coordinator and Accountant for merchandise-related inquiries
Other duties as required

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Previous retail experience preferred
Understanding and knowledge of monetary transactions
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Ability to work within an established schedule and cope with pressure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Collaborative working style with a hands-on approach to teamwork
Reliable transportation
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to lift upwards of 30 lbs.
Demonstrate impeccable skills for working with the public and exhibit a high level of customer service
