Savannah Music Festival LIVE 904 – Eric Alexander Quartet

When tenor saxophonist Eric Alexander made his debut recording as a leader in 1992 at the age of 25, many jazz writers dubbed him a “young lion” and a musician on his way up. That was nearly 25 years and more than 20 years ago. In the spring of 2016, Alexander brought his longtime quartet to SMF featuring the now 80-year old pianist Harold Mabern, along with bassist John Webber and drummer Joe Farnsworth.
