Hospitality Coordinator

Location: Savannah, Georgia
Term: Savannah Music Festival 2018
Start Date: February 2018 (remote); March 26, 2018 (in-person)
Reports To: Director of Artist Relations

The Savannah Music Festival is seeking a Hospitality Coordinator. This is a temporary position that works closely with the Director of Artist Relations and festival caterers during the 17-day Festival. Position will require limited remote hours in February 2018; in-person set up and breakdown dates March 26-28 and April 15-16, and festival hours March 29-April 14, 2018.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Review and amend schedule of hospitality at all venues for the Festival
  • Advance hospitality needs with each artist tour manager ahead of the Festival
  • Manage hospitality inventory, including inventory and ordering ahead of the Festival
  • Purchase and deliver artist food hospitality requirements for 8-10 venues during the Festival
  • Supervise catering delivery and pick up at 8-10 venues during the Festival
  • Track expenses and report regularly to Director of Artist Relations
  • Provide courteous and prompt service to festival artists
  • Supervise 1-2 hospitality assistants, an intern, and volunteers


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative working style with a hands-on approach to team work and managing
  • Must be extremely organized when handling multiple details and have the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to interact with artists and Festival staff professionally and personally
  • Ability to trouble shoot and work under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with Marcato Festival a plus
  • Willingness to work long hours during 17-day Festival (often 16+ hours) and full days of set up and break down preceding and following the festival
  • Previous hospitality/catering experience. Festival hospitality/catering experience a plus
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and driving experience
