Aptly named the “First Family of Cajun Music,” the Savoy Family Cajun Band hails from Eunice, Louisiana. Patriarch and celebrated accordion builder Marc Savoy is a National Heritage Fellow. His wife Ann Savoy wrote a well-known book on Cajun music history, and has produced numerous recordings with the likes of Linda Ronstadt and T-Bone Burnett. Their sons Joel and Wilson have also performed, recorded and toured extensively, including a 2012 Grammy Award-winning Band Courtbouillon album that features Wilson‚Äôs fiddle playing and Joel’s work as producer (and Valcour Records label owner). Together, The Savoy Family Cajun Band is known for delivering stellar traditional Cajun music, celebrating its beauty and function.
