Clayton Joseph Chenier is Creole music royalty. His father, the legendary Clifton Chenier, invented the style of music we know today as Zydeco and was the first Creole musician to be recognized with a Grammy Award. Enjoy an evening that brings the Louisiana dancehall experience to SMF, as the late “King of Zydeco” Clifton Chenier is celebrated by his son C.J!

Join us for FREE Dance Lessons before the show!
Show up an hour before showtime at 5 PM, and learn the basic steps of Zydeco with avid Zydeco dancers Christie and Michael Moody.

Please note: Due to a family emergency, guest artist Marcia Ball will not be appearing with C.J. Chenier & the Red Hot Louisiana Band as previously announced. Call 912.234.3378 or email tickets@savannahmusicfestival.org with any questions.
