SMF Live 1520 – Sean Jones Quartet / Kittel & Co.

On this two-part episode we’ll hear excerpts from trumpeter Sean Jones and his quartet, along with a segment of a performance by fiddle player and composer Jeremy Kittel’s ensemble Kittel & Co., all recorded live at the 2022 Savannah Music Festival. Common ground between these two bandleaders and ensembles is a commitment to music education, and the next generation of musicians and music lovers. Sean Jones has been a clinician in Savannah Music Festival’s jazz education programming, and many members of Kittel & Co. were participants in the festival’s stringband-focused artist development program, the Acoustic Music Seminar.
