DESCRIPTION:Pat Metheny is a groundbreaking jazz guitarist and composer. He started playing trumpet when he was eight\, then switched to guitar at 12\, and quickly gained recognition in Kansas City by the time he was 15. His 1975 debut album\, Bright Size Life\, redefined jazz guitar for a new generation. Metheny’s career spans collaborations with legends like Gary Burton\, Ornette Coleman\, and David Bowie. As a music pioneer\, he’s developed custom instruments and embraced new technologies over the course of his career. With 20 Grammys and numerous honors\, including the NEA Jazz Master title\, Metheny continues to be a leading figure in jazz and music education. This lineup features Chris Fishman on piano/keyboards\, Joe Dyson on drums\, and Jermaine Paul on bass.
