César Franck Piano Quintet in F minor
In the first of two classic chamber music recitals to close the 2026 Philip Dukes & Friends series, we hear two works from the great Romantic masters Johannes Brahms and the Belgian born composer Cesar Franck. The first is Brahms’ stunning third Piano Quartet (noted for the particularly exquisite slow movement), contrasted by the second work, which is Franck’s dramatic Piano Quintet, and certainly a tour de force for the pianist!
