The Savannah Music Festival is seeking members of its Physical Plant Crew, festival positions that report to the Production Coordinator. Physical Plant Crew are responsible for delivering non-technical items to all venues throughout the festival.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Under direction of Production Coordinator, deliver non-technical items to venues throughout the festival, such as tables, chairs, music stands, program books and so on
  • Work with venue show managers and technical staff to troubleshoot last-minute artist needs
  • Assist Education and Development departments during relevant workshops and events
  • Assist rental vendors providing additional equipment during festival
  • Support stage and technical staff
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Physical demand can be very high at times. Must be able to lift heavy objects, walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.
  • Willingness, availability, energy and stamina to work long days and evenings for the entire festival period.
  • Ability to work in very high stress environments, with many different types of personalities.
  • Any previous production experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Previous venue or festival experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with Marcato Festival a plus.
  • Ability to work any time of day; flexible schedule a must.
  • Verifiable work experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and driving experience.
