Acclaimed indie band Lucius has been turning heads since the start thanks to their irrepressibly catchy songs, explosive harmonies, and bold aesthetic. Formed by Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig, who met at the Berklee College of Music, the group got rolling with their 2013 debut album Wildewoman. A recent re-recording of that album inspired their recent and fourth release, Lucius, in a process that Jess described as “really struck a chord. It reminded us of who we were as a band and where it all started, each of us integral to the sound. When one thing is off, it falls apart. That sort of vulnerability, playing on the edge, was a coming home, and solidified the decision to nurture that feeling again in the studio.” In addition to their amazing output with Lucius, Jess and Holly have toured with Roger Waters and worked on recordings with John Legend, Harry Styles, Sheryl Crow, Ozzy Osborne, Nathaniel Rateliff, The Killers, and the War On Drugs, to name a few. This is their SMF debut.
