Series: Silence is Golden

Two of Buster Keaton's most beloved films are paired on this bill. Physical comedy genius Keaton finds himself in a suitor's battle for the hand of the farmer's daughter in "The Scarecrow" (1920). Forced to borrow the clothes of a nearby scarecrow after he falls into a hay thresher, Keaton is mistaken as having made a marriage proposal as he stoops to tie his shoe.
In "Sherlock, Jr." (1924) Keaton plays a film projectionist as well as an amateur detective who is framed for theft by a competing suitor. Returning to his job at the movie house, Keaton falls asleep only to dream of being a detective trying to solve his case.
