CALLE SUR offers an overview of Latin American geography, cultures, and folk music, including demonstrations of instruments and vocal styles. From Cuban to Colombian rhythms, from Paraguayan to Puerto Rican tunes, from Brazilian to Bolivian instruments; Calle Sur brings to life the rich diversity of Latin American music, challenges cultural and ethnic perceptions, and lifts spirits with the sheer energy and beauty of its performances. Presented for grades 2-5.
