March 22, 2008 8:30 PM, 10:30 PM

Series: Any Era Music

This night of acoustic and electric blues will showcase Napolean "Nappy" Brown: one of the great voices in American music, who's been singing and swinging with the same soulful authority that he exhibited on his hits of a half-century ago. Joined by the equally stellar Bob Margolin (of Muddy Waters fame) and an allstar rhythm section, Nappy and friends will make clear why "Night Time is the Right Time" (the Nappy Brown song made famous by Ray Charles). Opening act Adolphus Bell is a one-man blues band simultaneously playing guitar, harmonica and drums, spicing up a special night at SMF.
