Artist Liaison

Location: Savannah, Georgia
Term: Savannah Music Festival 2018  (March/April 2018)

Reports To: Director of Artist Relations

The Savannah Music Festival is seeking an Artist Liaison, a festival position that works closely with the Director of Artist Relations. The Artist Liaison serves as the primary point of contact for select artists to ensure they enjoy a well-organized, stress-free festival. This individual is a festival concierge, handling emergencies and necessary requests at any time of day or night. Position will require training in advance of the festival; festival hours on select dates between March 29 and April 14, 2018.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Greet select artists upon their arrival to Savannah, either at venue or hotel, and distribute welcome packets and artist schedules as needed
  • Be completely familiar with select artists’ schedules to provide assistance day or night
  • Assist select artists in navigating Savannah and the festival, including providing local recommendations
  • Attend rehearsals, performances, and social events as needed
  • Trouble shoot transportation, housing, and craft services issues, with constant communication with Director of Artist Relations and applicable festival coordinators
  • Coordinate with venue show managers during rehearsals, sound checks, and performances to pass on any applicable information

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including conflict resolution in high-stress environments
  • Collaborative working style with hands-on approach to team work
  • Positive attitude and proven record of reliability
  • Impeccable attention to detail and ability to manage a large workload over a short period of time
  • Patience, empathy, and ability to work with different personalities
  • Discretion and professionalism
  • Willingness, availability, energy and stamina to work long days and evenings for the entire festival period
  • Previous experience working in artist services or for a festival/performing arts organization a plus
  • Familiarity with Savannah’s hotels, performance venues, restaurants, bars, local services, etc. and ability to provide driving directions if needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat. Familiarity with Marcato Festival a plus
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and driving experience
