The youngest brother of Nat King Cole, Freddy Cole grew up in Chicago, in a home where visitors included Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Lionel Hampton. His vocals‚ suave, elegant, formidable, and articulate‚ are among the most respected in jazz. The Freddy Cole Quartet (Randy Napoleon, Elias Bailey, Curtis Boyd) make their Savannah debut on a one-time only double bill with the inimitable Marcus Roberts Trio (Rodney Jordan, Jason Marsalis), who will perform heralded classics from the American Songbook by Cole Porter and Nat King Cole in this specially produced afternoon matinee.

"Freddy has an impeccable sense of swing... he is, overall, the most maturely expressive male jazz singer of his generation, if not the best alive."
-The New York Times
