For more than 20 years, Kentucky-born Patty Loveless has been one of the most popular singers of the neo-traditionalist country movement. A member of both the Grand Ole Opry and the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, she rose to stardom by blending honky-tonk and country-rock with a plaintive, emotional ballad style. She has since charted more than 40 singles on the Billboard charts, including five Number Ones, along with four platinum and two gold albums. The "Queen of Mountain Soul" connects to the ache or tenderness of each song's lyrics and goes heart to heart with her listeners.
"Patty Loveless is firmly rooted in the musical traditions of her native Appalachia and sings with the pure, haunted, melancholy of a person who has witnessed truly harder times." -PopMatters.com
Singer Kathy Mattea has never stuck to conventions within any genre: a country-music hitmaker in the late '80s and early '90s, Ms. Mattea has also made forays into Scottish folk, gospel and roots music. This two-time GRAMMY-winning singer of such classics as "18 Wheels and a Dozen Roses" has sold more than seven million records and charted 20 top ten hits. Her distinctive brand of classics mixed with new material continues to captivate audiences across the country.
"Kathy Mattea remains one of Nashville's most spiritual singers." -USA Today
