Unique in that he wrote songs both for Broadway and the concert hall, George Gershwin's compositions have been used on television, in films, and many have become jazz and popular standards. This concert features two of today's preeminent Gershwin specialists playing both his long form and popular works. Sebastian Knauer plays the solo rendition of the "Concerto in F," "An American in Paris" and several popular songs, as scored by Gershwin. Marcus Roberts interprets many of Gershwin's popular songs in his own inimitable way.
